The Neurodiversity-Affirming Blog

Welcome to the Neurodiversity-Affirming Blog
These essays explore autism, ADHD, burnout, masking, identity, nervous system overwhelm, and neurodivergent living through a non-pathologizing and neurodiversity-affirming lens.
They are written primarily for adults who are late-identified, self-discovering, recovering from burnout, or trying to make sense of experiences that were never fully explained in ways that actually fit.
Much of this writing focuses on the deeper patterns many neurodivergent adults quietly carry for years β chronic self-monitoring, perfectionism, emotional exhaustion, shutdown, confusion, over-functioning, and the feeling of constantly trying harder without understanding why life still feels so difficult.
Rather than offering self-improvement pressure, productivity culture, or simplistic βlife hacks,β these essays are intended to provide context, orientation, and more accurate frameworks for understanding yourself and your experiences.
You do not need to already know exactly who you are or where you fit in order to begin exploring.
Sometimes understanding begins simply by recognizing yourself in language you were never given before.
