Neurodiversity Affirming Telehealth Therapy for Autistic & ADHD Adults in Indiana

With a late-diagnosed AuDHD therapist who truly gets it.

Because understanding yourself changes everything.

If You’re Here...

You may have spent years trying to make yourself fit expectations that never quite matched the way your brain actually works.

Maybe you learned to compensate by becoming highly responsible, perfectionistic, self-monitoring, productive, or relentlessly independent.

Maybe other people see you as capable.

Maybe you have even been told that you seem too successful, too social, too accomplished, or too functional to be autistic or ADHD.

And yet, maintaining that appearance may have come at an enormous internal cost.

Many neurodivergent adults spend years pushing through exhaustion, overwhelm, executive functioning difficulties, sensory stress, social fatigue, and chronic self-doubt without understanding why things that seem ordinary for other people require so much effort.

Eventually, trying harder stops working.

That does not mean you failed.

It may mean you have been asking your nervous system to function in ways it was never designed to sustain.

When Things Start Making Sense

You may have recently started wondering whether you could be autistic, ADHD, or both.

Sometimes that realization arrives suddenly. Other times it develops slowly as you begin recognizing yourself in experiences you had never previously had language for.

The burnout.
The masking.
The hyperfocus.
The executive functioning struggles.
The sensory overwhelm.
The exhaustion after social interaction.
The lifelong feeling that everyone else somehow received instructions you missed.

Looking at your life through a neurodivergent lens can change the meaning of experiences you may have spent years blaming yourself for.

Instead of asking, “Why can’t I just do this?”

You can begin asking, “What is actually happening here, and what does my brain need?”

That shift can change everything.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy in Indiana

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy does not begin with the assumption that your natural ways of thinking, feeling, communicating, or regulating need to be corrected.

Instead, we begin with understanding.

Together, we may explore masking, autistic burnout, ADHD-related executive functioning challenges, sensory and emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, chronic self-criticism, relationships, boundaries, trauma, identity after late diagnosis or self-recognition, and the process of learning to trust your own experience again.

Therapy can also become a place to examine the strategies you developed to survive environments that required you to constantly adapt.

Some of those strategies may have helped you enormously.

Others may now be contributing to exhaustion.

The goal is not to strip away everything you have learned or force you to function differently.

It is to understand what serves you, what costs too much, and what might make life more sustainable.

My Approach

I’m Christine Harris, LPCC, a licensed clinical therapist and late-diagnosed AuDHD (Autistic & ADHD) adult.

My work is grounded in both clinical training and lived neurodivergent experience.

I created this practice specifically for adults who have spent years feeling misunderstood, overextended, or as though they needed to constantly adapt themselves in order to function successfully in the world around them.

I provide telehealth therapy to autistic and ADHD adults physically located in Indiana at the time of sessions, in accordance with Indiana practice requirements.

Sessions are held securely online, allowing you to access therapy from your own environment without adding commuting, waiting rooms, or unnecessary sensory and logistical demands to an already full nervous system.

For many late-identified autistic and ADHD adults, therapy becomes less about fixing symptoms and more about finally developing an accurate framework for understanding themselves.

From there, it becomes possible to make different choices.

Not because you are forcing yourself harder, but because you understand yourself better.
